Booking Terms and Conditions 

Access to and the use of services by Jessica MacArthur, Update Later Travel and Updatelater.com is subject to the acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). By accessing, using or obtaining any content, products or services through Update Later Travel (“the company” and “us” and “we” and “ULT”), you, the purchaser and/or traveler (“client” and “you/your”) agree to be bound to these terms and conditions. 

General Terms 

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings. Your access to and use of the services is conditional on your acceptance of and compliance with these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services. You consent to our use of personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you are booking on behalf of others, you confirm you have the authority to do so and you are authorized on behalf of all persons named on the booking to disclose their personal details to us, including where applicable, special categories of data (such as information on health conditions or disabilities and dietary requirements).

Booking

Update Later Travel will work with the client to assemble an itinerary for your trip. To initiate contact with ULT the client will fill in the Travel Survey available under the contact section of updatelater.com. After receiving the Travel Survey results from the client, ULT will reach out within 48 hours via email with a quote for the proposed services. The proposal will include: the price of the package, deposit required and timeline for the proposed services. The client will be required to sign the proposal and agree with this terms and conditions page. Upon receipt of these documents ULT will begin the itinerary creation process. 

ULT will send the client the first proposal within the listed timeline. The client will review the proposal and resubmit the document to ULT for the two complimentary edits (if needed) included in the package price. ULT will return the edited proposal to the client after edits are complete. ULT will be available for questions via email after the client receives a proposal. 

Payment

Update Later Travel currently accepts venmo payments to be made for services rendered. By agreeing to the booking and the terms and conditions stated in this document, you, the client, agree to make the full payment invoiced to you by ULT. This will be made in a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of signed agreement to the terms and conditions. Remaining 50% balance will be paid by the client at receipt of the finalized travel itinerary. Please send venmo payments to @jessicalmac. Acknowledgement of Risk

Travel Insurance Acknowledgement

Update Later Travel does not require that the client purchase travel insurance prior to receiving a custom itinerary. However, it is recommended that the client purchase travel protection when utilizing goods and/or services provided by ULT. If the client chooses to not obtain travel insurance or protection prior to travel, this agreement absolves ULT of any issues that arise and are included in the risk of travel. Including but not limited to: cancellation or delay of trip, medical expenses, emergency services (evacuation, repatriation or use of emergency medical services), missed connections, baggage loss, cancellations, delays etc. We will not be liable for any financial losses occurring during travel. Additionally, ULT cannot provide information regarding travel insurance or provide advice on which insurance to obtain, that responsibility lies solely with the client. 

Third Party Risk Acknowledgement

Our services include recommendations for goods and services provided by third parties. Please know we are not responsible or liable for the offerings that occur with the third party. ULT is an independent travel planner, we will assist with making arrangements, provide recommendations and refer the client to various travel related third parties. This includes but is not limited to tour companies, hotels, personal accommodations (“Air BnB”, “VRBO” etc.), transportation companies, airlines and restaurants etc. ULT travel does not supervise the offerings from the third parties and thus cannot be responsible for the accuracy of information supplied by the third parties. This includes but is not limited to rate, schedule changes, operations, negligence of the third parties or services and goods provided. ULT makes no warranties, express or implied, to any services provided by third parties. It is the responsibility of the third party to comply with applicable laws, take adequate safety measures and supply accurate depictions of their goods and services. 

Acts of God Acknowledgement

We assume no responsibility for and will not be liable for the acts on the part of any other party not under our control, acts of God, unsafe conditions, health hazards (including pandemics), illness, weather and terrorism or accessibility for a disabled person on any portion of the trip. For information related to danger at a destination, please refer to the State Department travel website at: www.travel.state.gov . For any information related to health information at a destination please check the website for the Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov/travel . It is your decision if you choose to use recommendations and plans from ULT to travel, and you are responsible for understanding and abiding by all requirements and restrictions while traveling.

Pricing

We strive to ensure that all information and prices provided to you are accurate. However, occasionally changes and errors do occur, and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in such circumstances. You must check the current price and all other details relating to the travel arrangements that you wish to book before you make your booking.

Proprietary Information

No Copying, Editing or Sharing

No material from updatelater.com may be modified, copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, displayed, transmitted, performed, licensed, used to make a derivative work, transferred, sold or distributed in any way, without our prior written consent. You may not frame or mirror any material on updatelater.com on any other server or other location. Unauthorized use of any such material on any other websites or computer environments or elsewhere are prohibited.

Image Release

In the event that client sends images, videos or photographs (collectively “Images”) from client’s vacation to Update Later Travel, the client agrees that the company may use the images on the website, blog, social media and any other means of promotion of ULT’s  business. Client waives any right to payment, royalties or any other consideration for the use of the Images. Client hereby holds harmless and releases and forever discharges ULT from all claims, demands and causes of action which the client or any other person acting on client’s behalf have or may have related to the images. If you would not like to have images released, an email must be sent prior sharing images to updatelater.com stating that you are not releasing images to ULT for marketing purposes.

Proprietary Information

All planning guides, documents and tips provided to the client during the planning process are considered proprietary information of Update Later Travel and is intended for the client’s use only. Use of ULT resources and itineraries is for clients only and is not to be shared. Update Later Travel is the owner of all travel itineraries, images and content shared with clients, on updatelater.com and any ULT social media, including Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok. 

Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy is of the utmost importance to Update Later Travel. This Statement of Privacy applies to updatelater.com and Update Later Travel and governs data collection and usage. Updatelater.com is a travel planning website, and by using this website you consent to the data practices described in this statement. 

In order to provide you with products and services offered on the website, Update Later Travel may collect your personal information. This includes:

  1. First and last name

  2. Email address

  3. Phone number

  4. Other personal details shared in the travel survey

Update Later Travel does not collect any other personal data that is not provided by you. However, you may be required to provide personal information to Update Later Travel for the purpose of travel planning and itinerary creation. 

Update Later Travel does not sell, rent or lease its customer information to any third parties. Personal information including name and contact information may be used if ULT assists with any bookings done on behalf of the client. Finally, ULT may disclose your personal information without notice if required by the law to do so or if believed that such action is necessary to:

  1. Conform to the law or comply with legal processes served on Update Later Travel

  2. Protect and defend the rights and property of Update Later Travel

  3. Act under circumstances to protect the personal safety of Update Later Travel or the public 

Children

ULT does not knowingly collect any personal or identifying information from children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18 you should not be rendering any services from ULT. 

Violations

You agree that any violation of any such terms and conditions may result in (a) the cancellation of your reservation or purchase, (b) your forfeiture of any monies paid for your reservation or purchase, and (c) your being denied access to the applicable travel related product or service.
